White Rabbit's Exhibition på Artevistas Art Gallery Barcelona – samtidskonst Barcelona, vernissage, konstutställning BCN
White Rabbit / Riccardo Lopez Riccardo Lopez, better known as White Rabbit, is an Italian painter, graphic designer, and graffiti artist who has developed much of his artistic journey in Ibiza, where he lived for five years. It was there that his painting and graphic design studio activities became a powerful and prolific force in the street art scene. Riccardo began his career in Italy as an advertising graphic designer and set designer. After years of self-study and mastering various drawing and painting techniques, he moved to Ibiza, where he created the character White Rabbit, which would become his signature and street name. The name was chosen for its symbolic meaning—leading “Alice” into a dreamlike world. In Ibiza, Riccardo embraced his identity as a graffiti artist, bringing to life on city walls the characters that reflect his poetic vision of the world. In 2017, Riccardo relocated to Barcelona, where he began an intense period of street art and studio painting. His body of work can be divided into two main themes: The White Rabbit Revolution and The Contemporary Masks. While the style and touch of the artist are easily recognizable, these two collections differ in theme. The White Rabbit Revolution conveys a sharp, ironic approach with characters featuring rabbit ears, while The Contemporary Masks explores deeper, more poignant subjects, such as the faces of African children who have grown up in war-torn countries, evoking a sense of depth and infinity. Riccardo Lopez’s style is initially inspired by American Pop Art and later influenced by the new English graffiti movement of the late 90s. His works feature vivid colors, recognizable icons, and an ironic yet critical commentary on contemporary culture. The foundation of Riccardo’s work is a humanistic philosophy combined with a strong social conscience. Pop art, as both a school and a stimulus, became the starting point for renewing the language of his graphic art, which evolved from studio paintin
